Activities and Meetings During Spring 2012

Nokia Missio Helsinki welcomes you to participate in activities and meetings!

Mission Evenings on Saturdays 5 PM (17.00)

Missio Evenings are open-for-all events arranged every week (not at summer season), in which present are our servant team from Helsinki and also in many evenings there are visitors from other congregations. The program of the evening consists of teaching, praise music, prayers, Word of God and intercession prayer.

We pray a lot for these events so that we would reach as many as possible of those who don’t yet know Jesus as their Savior, and so that we could lead them to Him. We also offer a friend to each person giving his life to God in our meetings for helping with the first steps of the Christian path.

The address of The Mission Hall in Helsinki is Elimäenkatu 9 A, 2nd floor.

We especially welcome you who don’t yet know Jesus personally to come and join these evenings! Come boldly to see what is it all about!

We try to arrange English interpretation as often as possible. Pray for more workers in this area!

WELCOME!

Welcome to visit the web pages of Nokia Missio Helsinki

Nokia Missio started  in Helsinki on 21st of May 2005 by arranging its first event in Kulttuuritalo (Helsinki Hall of Culture). A small prayer group consisting of ten persons stepped to serve and carry the responsibilities. Lord spoke that He will increase the number of servants and will put the right persons into the right places if we stay obedient in prayer and discussion with Him.

The lord has helped us and several hundreds of people have given their life to God or have renewed their faith.

Luke 10:2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (NKJV)

The foundation of our ministry is to whole-heartedly surrender to Jesus Christ and to prayer. God is not searching "fully professional" or "good" Christians, instead He is the one making us, in ourselves bad and failing people, able to serve in our tasks. Our duty is to give our whole heart for serving Him in our neighborhood. For a servant it is essential to be truthful and humble in front of God and in serving Him. Love and connection among us are important factors to us. We believe that fruitful deeds arise from personal relationship with Jesus and by doing tasks with peaceful heart.

In addition to Prayer Evenings and Mission Evenings we have one-year Cell Group Leader and Discipleship Bible School, also available on-line (teaching is in Finnish). Mission Evenings on Saturdays and Prayer Evenings on Fridays are open for all, and we encourage everybody to come into those to get to know more about our ministry.

God bless all our Brothers and Sister in Jesus Christ,

The leader team of Nokia Missio Helsinki

To Father´s Home

God calls you. Come!

Do you already know The Heavenly Father? Have you received Jesus Christ to be your personal Savior? Do you want to become a true believer and God´s child?

1. God loves you and He has a good plan for your life.

God has created you and you are something special. There is no one else like you. Because God has created you, you are not a meaningless being but your life has a purpose. It is possible for you to know where you come from, who you really are, and where you are going. God loves you.

2. Sin separates you from God.

All evil which is in us separates us from the perfect love of God. If you are honest, you must admit that we all do wrong things. These things bring shame upon us. Sin spoils our life. Our greatest need is to be forgiven. You need forgiveness, you understand it or not.

3. Jesus died for you.

Death is a consequence of sin. Jesus died for your sins. He did that because He loves you: he didn't want you to pay for all that you have done wrong. Because of Jesus´ sacrifice your sins won´t blame you any more in front of God. As a result of Jesus´ death God is ready to forgive every sin that you've ever committed, you can get free of guilt, shame, fear and condemnation. You can be reconciled with your Heavenly Father just now.You can get cleansed and free from the power of sin. Because of the resurrection of Jesus your inner being can become new person.

4. You have to receive this love.

You have to receive this God´s gift. Why would you decide tomorrow if you can do that today? Now is the good day. Believe these good news so you receive power to become God´s child. Receive Jesus into your heart and life. Receive forgiveness and salvation. Receive joy and peace in the Lord.

Pray like this:”God I believe that you love  me. I know that I've gone away from your will and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you let Jesus dye for me. I want to turn away from my sins. Jesus, I believe that  you died for me, I call you now into my heart and life. I trust and believe in you and want to receive  you as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

You may believe that God has heard your prayer and Jesus has come to your life. Jesus says:
All that the Father gives me will come to me; and him who comes to me I will not cast out.” Joh 6:37

What then?
1. Tell  about your faith in Jesus to somebody. Your faith will get stronger.
2. Start reading the Bible daily. Start from the Gospel of John in the New Testament.
3. Start praying, which means you talk with God.
4. Find your way to a living christian congregation. If you want Nokia Mission will help you to find one near your home!

What We Believe

Huomaa, avaa uuteen ikkunaan PDFTulostaSähköposti

This is what we believe

We believe that God is one and that He makes Himself known in the Holy Bible as three persons: Father, the origin of everything and the Creator, Son, our Savior and Lord and Holy Spirit, who calls us to believe and equips us to fruitful service.

We believe that Jesus Christ, real God and real human through His virginal birth, sinless life, sacrificial death for us and resurrection offers eternal life for all of those who believe. And that we are justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and this same mercy which saves, also equips to victorious life in Christ.

We believe that whole mankind has fallen and can not be saved from bondage of sin and satan without Christ.

We believe that God´s Word, The Holy Bible is true, and that´s why we can have full confidence in it. We confess that all the books in Old and New Testament as a whole are inspired by the Holy Spirit and are God´s Word and with gladness we accept Holy Bible to be our only authority when concerning questions of life and faith.

We believe that the church is formed by all those people who have been born in Holy Spirit believing Jesus Christ´s sacrifice and resurrection. The church is Christ´s body and Jesus Christ is the head. We agree the leadership of Christ in all.

We believe that the baptism unites us into Christ´s death and resurrection and that in Holy Communion we take part into Living Christ through His real body and real blood.

We believe that local church is formed of true believers who have surrendered to Christ and who serve the Lord empowered by Holy Spirit and that pastors equip members of church through teaching to do this service.

We believe that Holy Spirit gives gifts to all the members of the church so that they could fulfill the supernatural service until Jesus returns. We believe that Christ returns to collect his bride which is His church and that true believers will be living eternally with Christ. But those who do not believe have to suffer eternal punishment. We believe in ecumenical confession of faith (Apostolic, Nikea, Athanasius).

We believe that by our life style we either confirm or deny what we confess with mouth. We do not want to deny gospel by living wrong but we live according to our faith.

We believe that right relationships in humanity are as important as the right theology. We do not want to cancel the healthy doctrine with harmful attitudes or actions towards others.
